After the first festival in May 2023, the beloved street festival returns for a second year!
Having inspired thousands of people in Berlin, New York, Milan and other metropolises, Piano City® became an institution in Athens as well.
A festival for Athens, which from the beginning is organized "by" and "with" the city through an innovative process that includes institutions, artists, clubs, networks and partners.
In Piano City Athens the music does not wait for the public, but spreads in the squares, in people's homes and in unconventional spaces. The sounds of the piano diffuse and change the entire cityscape.
Piano City Athens, through the piano, brings together people of all classes and interests, through music on a very personal level.
What will happen at Piano City Athens?
100 Piano Concerts
House concerts - Piano virtuosos and amateurs, selected by the artistic committee, will open their homes and hearts to the general public. They will demonstrate their skill and talent by giving small piano concerts in their homes with a repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary repertoire. Enthusiasts, as well as the general public, will have the unique opportunity to enjoy these melodic experiences.
Piano concerts in public and private spaces - In addition to house concerts, piano concerts will be organized, literally, all over Athens.
In an airport waiting room, on the subway, in a train station, in a park, in a department store or an office.
In conservatories, museums and galleries
In a hotel, a theater, a school
Or just middle of the road.
