Piano City Athens 2026 is now accepting applications for various ways to take part in the festival:
After three successful editions, Piano City® Athens returns from May 9 to 17, 2026, filling the city with music and inspiration!
Since its first year, Piano City Athens has brought together people of all ages and interests, creating a unique musical pulse throughout the city. Pianos appear in parks, squares, pedestrian streets, the airport, museums, embassies, hospitals, conservatories, schools, cafés, theaters, galleries, institutions, and hotels. Through the concept of house concerts, the festival even enters people’s homes, while its music can also be found… in the middle of the street!
Upcoming Pianists – Goethe-Institut Athens
The institute’s auditorium opens its doors to upcoming pianists wishing to present a recital.
For the second consecutive year, the Goethe-Institut Athens participates in Piano City Athens and opens its auditorium to pianists eager to perform for the festival’s enthusiastic audience!
If you want to play a duet… the auditorium has two pianos!
How to Participate:

Professional Pianists
Piano City Athens 2026 issues an open call to pianists wishing to participate in the festival, which will take place from May 9 to 17, 2026.
Piano City Athens transforms Athens into a living musical stage, with piano concerts in both iconic and unexpected city locations. This year, we invite you to be part of this unique experience, loved by audiences, organizations, and musicians alike.
This call is exclusively for professional pianists.
How to Participate:
Interested applicants should submit:
- A CV (up to 1000 words) detailing their artistic journey, achievements, and vision.
- A YouTube link of a recent performance or presentation.
Applications should be sent via email to
info@pianocityathens.gr by the end of February 2026.
Selection Process:
Pianists will be selected by the artistic direction of Piano City International.
Selection criteria include artistic merit, repertoire variety, musical style, and the creation of a program that reflects the multifaceted character of Piano City Athens.

House Concerts (Homes / Small Venues)
Are you a musician wanting to participate in Piano City Athens by giving a house concert?
The enjoyment of a piano concert at home is not common, but Piano City offers this experience to the wider audience!
Virtuoso pianists and amateurs from all over the city open their homes and hearts to the public, demonstrating their skills with small home concerts featuring a repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music.
How to Participate in House Concerts:
Send a two-minute video (or YouTube link) to houseconcerts@pianocityathens.gr.
The video should include:
- A brief introduction of yourself.
- Your piano skills, performing a short piece.
- The space of your concert, likely your living room.
Selections will be made by the artistic direction of Piano City International.
Organizations, Institutions, Individuals
Are you an organization / institute / private business wishing to host a PCA concert at your venue?
Do you want to be part of one of the largest global musical movement?
If you are interested in presenting a concert at your venue, no matter what kind of space it is, and becoming part of Piano City® Athens, you can send us an expression of interest at partners@pianocityathens.gr. We will then schedule a meeting to explain the participation process in detail and discuss ways to organize the concert.
Those participating in this grand celebration of Piano City® Athens will receive extensive exposure through the 360° promotional campaign implemented for the festival and its program.
